What does the tool do? The tool uses a flowchart approach and guides the user step by step through the regulations associated with the processing, transport, storage and use of the following construction waste derived materials:
- Bituminous bound waste
- Bricks and masonry
- Concrete waste
- Mixed construction, demolition and excavation waste (CD&EW)
- Secondary materials
- Trench arisings
- Unbound granular material (including spent railways ballast)

The tool has been developed from the original work carried out for CIRIA's
Construction Waste and Resources website.
