    The British Board of Agrément provides independent certification on the performance of building products. It is involved in the Highway Authorities Product Approval Scheme (HAPAS), a joint initiative with the Highways Agency and CSS to develop national approval arrangements for innovative products, materials and systems for use in highways and related areas.

    The British Standards Institution (BSI) is responsible for publication of British Standards. This site accesses the on-line database of British Standards.

    Castings Technology International provides R&D and a wide range of impartial technical services for casting producers and users worldwide, these services cover all aspects of the design, materials, manufacture, use, quality and performance of castings. Their environmental services include information on the beneficial re-use of foundry products.

    The Ecoconstruction web site contains information relevant to the use of recycled and reclaimed materials in housing construction. The site contains guidance on issues ranging from planning, choosing and specifying materials, case studies of recycled & reclaimed material use and has a searchable product database.

    The Materials Waste Exchange is a Government funded project designed to connect producers of waste with potential customers.

    National Green Specification (NGS) is an independent organisation partnered with the Building Research Establishment (BRE) to produce an Internet-based resource providing information on sustainable building products for all building designers, constructors and manufacturers involved with ‘Sustainable Construction’

    The Recycled Products Directory is a guide to products available in the UK which contain recycled materials. The database provides the most comprehensive listing of recycled products available. It is compiled and maintained by Waste Watch.

    Run by Technical Indexes, Specify it is a Construction Product Library Online with 260,000 pages of full text catalogues from more than 5,500 manufacturers and suppliers, including some suppliers of recycled products.
