    The Housing Forum (HF) promotes radical change and continuous improvement in the housing construction industry. It is part of the Constructing Excellence initiative.

  • ICE Conditions of Contract
    The website for the Institute of Civil Engineering (ICE) has information on ICE Conditions of Contract. This is a family of standard Conditions of Contracts for civil engineering works. Produced by the Conditions of Contract Standing Joint Committee (CCSJC), the ICE Conditions of Contract are jointly sponsored by ICE, the Civil Engineering Contractors Association (CECA) and the Association of Consulting Engineers (ACE)

  • Local Government Task Force
    The Local Government Task Force (LGTF) encourages and assists Local Authorities to adopt the principles of Rethinking Construction. It is part of the Constructing Excellence initiative.

  • Movement for Innovation
    The Movement for Innovation (M4I) leads and promotes radical improvement in construction in value for money, profitability, reliability and respect for people, through demonstration and dissemination of best practice and innovation. It is part of the Constructing Excellence initiative.

  • NEC Contracts
    The NEC Contract is a legal framework of project management procedures designed to handle all aspects of the management of construction projects. Its benefits – flexibility and simplicity – can be applied to any construction project, large or small. It comprises a suite of contract documents and guidance books and a range of support services comprising training, consultancy and a Users’ Group.

  • Small Business Service
    The Small Business Service, a directorate within the DTI, supports small businesses to achieve their potential and improve performance.

  • UKAS
    The United Kingdom Accreditation Service is the sole national accreditation body recognised by government to assess, against internationally agreed standards, organisations that provide certification, testing, inspection and calibration services. Accreditation by UKAS demonstrates the competence, impartiality and performance capability of these evaluators.
